Understanding consumers and my dilemma
I write, and nothing matches the feeling of writing something that will be useful or entertaining. A book with helpful information or a novel with a good message should sell higher than useless, perverted crap...such as dinosaur erotica. Seems like a random thing to bring up, doesn't it? The reason I say that is there are writers out there profiting big time from exactly that. You can read a little about it here:

This is the kind of thing modern people in the West respond to. My dilemma is that I'm not quite prepared to do such a thing and be "sell out." For one, I wouldn't care about my "work" if I wrote such garbage. It would go against what I believe in. And if I didn't make a haul doing it, I would have sold out and accomplished nothing. I don't have any inherent problem with ripping off idiots (or rather I should say with others doing that) but I'm not at that point yet. On my current path, I can expect to make a few dollars but have my writing become nothing more than a hobby I'm dedicated to.

Jesus said that you can't serve 2 masters, but I would add "at the same time". I divide my time. When I produce quality, I have no expectation of making money, and when I work on making money, I have no expectation of producing quality. So I have no conflict.
My quality stuff I actually make available for free, and no one uses it, just as I would expect. Modern people are repulsed by quality. Here is my quality stuff (in progress):

I'm not good at compartmentalizing. Perhaps I'll hit my breaking point eventually. As long as I'm not absolutely broke, I don't know that I could convince myself to do things this way. Until such a time, I suppose I'll just continue with what I'm doing.
